Rules and Regulations of Interpoly 2008 Football Competition

General Rules

1. Each team can register maximum 20 players

2. No outsiders are allowed

3. Each team has chance to call 3 fresh graduates

Remarks (NTU has chance to call their graduates)

4. Champions will be awarded INTERPOLY SHIELD and medals for each player

5. Runner-up will be awarded medals for each players

6. Top scorers will be awarded another medal

7. All organizers must come for every matches

8. And every players must be displayed their Photo ID and certification letter in every matches.

Team color

NP – Black or Orange

NTU – Grey and red

NYP – Black and white or blue and white

SP – Blue and Yellow

TP – Red and black

Rules during matches

(Group stages)

Marking system

3 points for winner in each match and 1 point for both team if the match draws

If the teams have same marks after all the matched have been played

Check Goal difference-à Check goal scored during competitionàCheck Head to headà Played another match

Duration of matches

Group stages

45 mintues for each half and 15 min break time between each half

Substitution – Each team has permission to substitute 5 players and substituted players cannot be enter into the field again whatever the condition is.

Final and knock out stages

If the match is draw, extra time to be played. (two halves and 15 min each).

If the match is still draw after extra time is over, penalty to be played for 5 balls to score followed by 1 – 1

No players have permission to take penalty another time unless all players of his team has taken.

Cards

Either 2 yellow cards(In different matches) or 1 red card (2 yellow cards in one match) will be banned for following matches

Remarks- All cards will be neutralized if the competition reached Final or knock out stages

Cancellation of the match

A team can cancel one group stage match only providing that the reason must be accepted by other teams and must inform other team one week advance. If not, the team will be considered as a loser with 0-3 and 0 marks will be given. A team that want to cancel must bear all cost(Ref cost and field costs)
