Discussion about match with NP
Hi Team,
This game is quite diasppointed since we ve never lost such kind of big margin for a long time and everyone has reaspontility for this defeat. However, we ve to learn from it and march this tourment with good attitute. We still left 3 games and we can get a chance to revenge them if we win the rest.
Let me point out what i see.
1. We need to come earlier to do warm up properly as all of us are too slow at first half due to muscle tight.
2. We need to move and create space & opening for teamates when we have ball. When we play in NTU, we ve huge space as the field is wide and time to control ball as the oponent is far. However, today field is so narrow that we cant get long time to control ball. Normally, we take time control ball, after that check the opening & release the ball. when we play small field like today, we r in trouble. As soon as receive the ball, they r at front already and all pass the ball wihout seeing the teammate. Our passing is too bad.
3. We need to be more concentrate when we r in losing side instead of rushing.
4. We need to be tough when the opponents is playing body game.
u all can compare our playing style of two halves. If we play like second half, we wont be lose. NP is not as good as scorpian & Keppel.
They dont have individual skillful player but their teamwork is very good, move very fast & tackle with force.
Forget about the result and lets go ahead for the rest.
Regards,
Bogyi

About the match against NP!
Hi everyone,
As you all know, the result was really disappointing and unacceptable since we all know we were a better team before the match. As Ko Bo Gyi said, we are the ones responsible for what we have, after all and I don't want to say who and what happened. I was too very immobile, not like other matches, and lack an impact in the middle. I know my mistakes and I will amend them.
Anyway, I would like to express some of my feeling and want you to take it in a positive way. When we voice out, only mean to build up the team to be better, not other way round. I want to win this competition very much and so do you all, I know. To me, the medal is not that important because I have won it many times with SP but I just want to remember, in future, what we achieve together with you all. I honestly feel as a team whenever we play. I joined NTU because I feel that our team is united and have hunger for success as a team. We play for fun but we need to win too. That will keep our morale high. When we play, win as a team and lose as a team. Therefore, please beware of actions that will discourage team spirit.
Especially, do not blame others in the field. Just encourage them. Everyone knows who is doing what and how. Everyone wants to win and they are trying their best. Another thing is we should have someone to control the game and should listen to him no matter what happens. That means respect to the team. It is very embarrassing to behave uncontrollable in the field in front of the opponents. This kinda actions help the team in no good way and lose concentration on the game, in return, we make more mistakes. No one is superman. If you know that your friend is not doing well, help him. Open some space for him and always encourage him.
What Ko Bo Gyi said is right. They can pass the ball with little hestitation. Because they had a lot of training together. They know where their men are. For us, we normally play only once a week and we "just play". You can see all of our players are running here and there, rather than opening spaces to accept the passings. I think we still need to practise how to open for a ball cos I still can see some players hiding behind the opponents.
Here are a few things to highlight:
1) Our frontline was not effective (we had some chances but could not take advantage of them unfortunately)
2) In the midfield, I myself lack tackles and gave more spaces for the opponents (the field was small but it was big for me cos they have five players playing around me). Our midfield was really immobile yesterday. Who went up can't come back immediately.
3) Our backline was unsettled (lost concentration thru goals allowed in mind) and can't clear the aerial balls. The opponents were lurking around to pick up the second balls. Some of our players went forward to help the strikers but that backfired. We know that you are good upfront too but we need you in defence, so please be patient and be concentrated.
4) Set pieces. I learned from seniors wherever I played, to mark one to one, in the penalty area whenever there is a free-kick or corner-kick. All an opponent need is a jump to head the ball into the net. We did not do that too. Let the opponent roam around peacefully. Look at our players! We couldn't come back to help in the penalty box and we were out-numbered. Some were just standing alone in the box waiting for the ball to come. Always keep your opponent as close as possible when their team have the ball and open space when we have the ball. That's one of the basics. We have been talking about our weakness in the set-pieces but never changed. Please reconsider again what we should do.
There were a lot of reasons that we lost the match. We can forget about all the bad things. We just have to proceed with right attitude and good spirit to win the rest of the games. "Please be calm when you're playing no matter what is happening". Losing your concentration is playing to lose. I don't want any of us to not play anymore either.
I have said all these things to be able to build the team better. I never attack anyone personally.
With best regards,
Boban

Re: Discussion about match with NP
5-2
I agreed very single points highlighted above.
I was too slow and hesitated to take the tackle in first half.
and left so much space behind when I overlapped in wing.
Lesson learned, more warmup, more commitment and concentration.
I honestly think, it is very important
1. to keep the cool when we are goal down
2. to communicate between teammates
3. not to blame each other whatever happens
( nobody blamed me though )
Anyway, it's not time to look back and regret.
whatever done is done.
It's in the past.
Let's just learn the lesson and march right on.

KZHein.
